Changi Airport

After our breakfast, we decided to go to Changi Airport to let Baby G see his favourite aeroplanes up close. He was very cooperative the entire morning. He promptly took his bath & his nap as instructed. When he woke up, he told me "Mummy, I sleep already, now go Changi airport, ok?"
We had our lunch @ Swensons before taking the skytrain to the viewing gallery at Terminal 1.
Food was so-so only. I didn't enjoy my slightly burnt Fish Baked Rice.
Too bad, T1 was under major renovations and only a small portion of the window was visible. But Baby G was still very enthralled by the planes landing onto the runway.

We then took the skytrain to the viewing gallery @ T3. Somehow, the viewing gallery did not offer a good view as compared to T1. Quite disappointed. Even Baby G wasn't interested to see the aeroplanes too and kept asking us to go back & take the skytrain again.
That's all we can view... pathetic.
We walked around T3 and stopped by tcc to have our desserts.
I enjoyed my tcc experience

We then explored the basement levels which were much more livelier. There was a small playground and Baby G had fun exploring it.

Sentosa

The $8.90 cable car ride to Sentosa and the free entrance to 'Images of Singapore' was the main reason we packed our stuff and head on down to Sentosa.

It's Baby G's very first cable car ride and he was really excited.

We managed to get a cable car all to ourselves and off we went! Throughout the ride, Baby G kept looking down onto the roads & started naming all the vehicles that he can see. He didn't seem afraid at all.

Slowly.. slowly.. as the cable car moves......
When we touched down, we headed on down to the 'Images of Singapore'. It's really a far cry from the 'Images of Singapore' that I visited many years back. Things are much more interactive and more real. Baby G was pretty scared of the initial part of the tour (the 1930s-1950s) as it was dark & the sounds were very unfamiliar to him. He kept saying he wanted to go home. However, when we came to the part of the different festivals that are celebrated in Singapore, he became more interested & less afraid.
For most part, he was very subdued, but when it was time to take pics, he gamely posed for us.
After the 'Images of Singapore' tour, we decided to sit down for a cuppa and take a short rest. There was a peacock that was walking around at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf outlet. Baby G was quite excited to see the 'strange looking' bird. However, when it started to come nearer, Baby G suddenly jumped from his seat and leapt onto my lap and started crying. Later he told me he was scared of the big bird.
Me & Baby G sharing a joke just before the peacock scare.
After our well deserved rest, we took a bus ride to the Beach station so that we can bring Baby G for the beach tram ride. By the time we waited for the beach tram & got onto the tram, it was pretty close to dinner time so we stopped at Koufu for dinner. When we reached there, Baby G saw the playground & forgot about his hunger and bugged us to let him play.
Baby G loved playing with the water area, splashing around & making me all wet.
All too soon, it was time to go home. We took the cable car back to Mount Faber & at the same time, checked out the most recently raved 'The Jewel Box'. Ambience-wise, very romantic especially with the beautiful night view. Must go but without Baby G. It's been a while since we had a romantic night out. We also checked out the "best toilet for the world".

There's even a huge aquarium in the toilet.. amazing.

By the way.... HAPPY NATIONAL DAY!

Wedding / Class Reunion

Was on half day leave on Friday as we had a wedding to attend to. Had a wonderful afternoon nap (haven't had that for a verrrryy long time) and went to pick Baby G up earlier than usual. Cooked porridge for him for his dinner as I doubt he can wait til 8plus.

The wedding we attended was a friend from poly days, so we expected to see many familiar faces and it was a good time to catch up with long lost classmates.

Everyone looks just the same, clearly age has not caught up.

Baby G enjoyed the roast chicken.

The rest of the times, he was running around, playing with the kids & taking photos...

Fireworks @ NDP Preview

On Saturday, Daddy had to work, so I brought Baby G to Mama's place to let him spend some time with her. After that, Daddy came over and we went to TCC @ Boat Quay for an early dinner just before walking over to the Esplanade to watch the fireworks & the aerial display.
We enjoyed ourselves at TCC @ Boat Quay
We managed to catch the full fireworks display. However, Baby G was really scared of the loud blasts and kept saying he wanted to go home. He grabbed on to me really tight and wouldn't let go. I'm trying to load the video... but it just seems to take forever..... sigh. Guess you'll have to just take my word for it that it's simply awesome.
